Eike Lüdeling was awarded the position of professor of Horticultural Sciences.

After receiving his PhD in Agricultural Sciences (University of Kassel), he spent two years at the University of California Davis, as well as 8 years at the World Agroforestry Centre (Nairobi, Kenya, including 4 years stationed at ZEF in Bonn).

Among his research interests are the projection of climate change impacts on agricultural and horticultural systems, fruit tree dormancy and harnessing decision analytical modeling approaches for use in Agricultural Sciences.
