Global Exchange Program

If you are interested in a stay outside Europe, the Global Exchange Program offers opportunities to study at University of Bonn partner universities in Asia, Australia, Latin America and North America. This program is organized by the International Office.

Free Mover

You can also organize a stay abroad yourself as a Free Mover, independent of the exchange programs that are available. Information on the PROMOS scholarship program (funding is available for self-organized study-related semesters and internships outside Europe, among other things) and other funding opportunities is available here.

Other field-related opportunities

The Carlo-Schmid-Program is offered by the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) in cooperation with the Studienstiftung des deutschen Volkes (German Academic Scholarship Foundation) and Stiftung Mercator (Mercator Foundation) and provides funding for full-time internships in EU institutions, the UN system, Bretton Woods organizations, NATO, OSCE and approved non-governmental organizations at selected locations. It is aimed exclusively at students with German citizenship. Most of the internships are scheduled to start on September 1.
