Institute for Entrepreneurship (IES)

The Institute for Entrepreneurship of the University of Bonn, which is based at the Faculty of Agriculture, was founded in August 2022 with the aim of strengthening the so-called 'third mission' (knowledge transfer), in order to further expand the area of "knowledge and technology transfer".

The new institute will also establish start-up teaching beyond the Faculty of Agriculture in order to increase the start-up and transfer potential of the entire University of Bonn.

The IES supplements and expands the existing start-up teaching at the Faculty of Agriculture (focus on technology-based start-ups) with teaching modules that focus on the start-up process itself, regardless of the context.
