Studying with Erasmus+

With the Erasmus+ program, the EU has been promoting stays abroad in Europe for over 35 years. It enables students to study at a university within the EU for two to 12 months or to complete an internship in a European country. During this time abroad, participants receive both financial and organizational support. The Erasmus Office of the Faculty of Agriculture cooperates with 37 partner universities in Europe and Turkey.

BEFORE you apply

Please first find out about the general application requirements and funding criteria for the Erasmus+ program [DE] on the website of the International Office. Participants in "diverse" life situations (disability/chronic illness, first graduate of the family, working students, students with children) can receive additional Erasmus funding.

The Mobility-Online portal for exchange programs provides an overview of all current exchange programs and partner universities [DE] of the Faculty of Agriculture. When searching for a suitable partner university, you should check the respective websites for information on the courses offered, semester dates and language requirements.

AFTER successful application at the faculty

Please register online with the International Office [DE] by March 15 or November 15 (for remaining places) at the latest.

The Erasmus office of the Faculty of Agriculture will nominate you for an exchange semester/year at the partner university. Depending on the university, different documents must be submitted. Please note the deadlines at the partner university.

Please start in good time with the digital creation of a Learning Agreement (recommendation: 4-6 weeks before the deadline at the partner university). You can find instructions on how to fill it out on the website of the International Office [DE] . The scope of the planned study program should be at least 20 ECTS per semester. If the planned scope of studies is less than 15 ECTS per semester, no funding can be provided by the Erasmus+ program.

Recognition

Recognition of your achievements abroad will take place after your Erasmus stay. To do this, please submit the transcript of records from the host university to the Examination Office of your degree program. You should be able to show at least 15 ECTS per semester in the transcript of records of the host university. Any credits that have not been (successfully) completed cannot be recognized at the Faculty of Agriculture.

In addition, you can obtain the Certificate of Intercultural Competence at the International Office. This extra-curricular qualification enables you to have stays abroad, participation in language courses or internationally oriented courses as well as involvement in the supervision of foreign students and in international associations /projects recognized with a certificate.
