90 ECTS-LP compulsory courses in the first three semesters

Certificate of competence in plant protection

Students on the Bachelor study program Agricultural Sciences can acquire the prerequisite for applying for a certificate of competence in plant protection. Successful participation in the following modules must be proven for the necessary teaching certificate from the University of Bonn:

  • Plant protection
  • Agricultural technology
  • Pathogens and animal pests
  • Advanced plant protection

In addition, a one-day practical training course must be completed at the NRW Chamber of Agriculture (subject to a fee).
The certificate of competence in plant protection can be applied for after completion of the course with the Bachelor's certificate and the training certificate at the responsible plant protection service of the federal states.
